Meet the Team

Corey Mathers, Esq.

Founder and Lead Attorney.

A solo practitioner with a rare blend of legal acumen and quantitative rigor. Raised in Joliet, Illinois, he graduated from Joliet West High School in 1988 before earning a BA in physics from Carleton College in 1992. He completed an MS in physics at the University of Iowa in 1996, and later obtained his JD from Northwestern University School of Law in 2005. Admitted to the Illinois bar in 2008, he has maintained a solo practice ever since.

His technical career began in 1997 at Lucent Technologies as a technical team lead, followed by a product management role at Apropos Technology in 1999. He pivoted to law while continuing to serve as general manager for multiple startups, where his quantitative and analytical skills inform strategic decision-making, contract structuring, and risk assessment.

Married to his Carleton sweetheart with whom he has two young sons, he remains a devoted fan of the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks.
